BEWT is a training system that provides both simulation and stimulation
of onboard tactical Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, giving afloat
operators the ability to train for tactical operations using their
organic equipment. BEWT provides the onboard training team the
ability to exercise individual, team, combat team, and force level
operational scenarios in
support of the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) directives to move
proficiency team training onboard ships. BEWT provides shipboard
proficiency training through stimulation of the tactical onboard
EW systems including the AN/SLQ-32A(V) and AN/ULQ-16, with design
provisions for future systems such as the Surface EW Improvement
Program (SEWIP). BEWT also provides the capability to capture
AN/SLQ-32A(V) operator keystroke data and correlate the operator’s
actions with training scenario events to provide improved post-exercise
reporting capabilities. While BEWT provides both an Independent
(stand-alone) training capability, used for stand-alone individual
training, as well as an Integrated training capability, used when
running team or force-level BFTT or AEGIS Combat Training System
(ACTS) exercises. http://www.bewt.com/
